The German Auto-Fest at Seaside Park in Ventura was an all Porsche event.
There were around 400-500 various Porsches there. I took my '74 914 2.0l and my son and we had a blast. After looking at all of the cars, the concours, the Porsche 4-Sale corral and talking to everyone, we took a little run to my house for some Tacos and Homebrew. We took the Scenic Twisty Route to my house. Pacific Coast Highway to Mulholland Highway to Topanga Canyon in Woodland Hills. It was beautiful drive in 914 Country. The roads are so Twisty that mostly motorcycles and 914's like this kind of road. The run had one problem, well Jeff Shyu's 914 Turbo had a problem with his Turbo just before we got into Mulholland but was able to get it on the road by plugging a opening with a small cork (which Dave Bell had). He then had a problem starting after we stopped for a short break (wouldn't start). We tried to continue and waited at the "Rock Store" (Motorcycle Hangout) but they couldn't get it going. Everyone then continued to my house planning on retrieving it later. I got a call from Jeff after he went to get his car and it started right up. I thought he was home free, But that's another story.
